Car Insurance Sterling (Car Insurance). Is this a good plan to become an Airline Pilot? Is this a good plan to become an Airline Pilot? I am 18 yrs old and got 8 GCSES including physics and done my AS english lit last year and history AS. Last sept I was in an aviation national class which is equally to 2 A-levels for 2 years but I changed it as I would have to do 2 full years and wasn't sure if I was going to uni in sept. I live in Northern Ireland and there's no unis for commerial license with degree..I would have to go to buckingshire uni. I don't really like doing it for 3 yrs plus the course is £40,000 and accomdation is really expensive there. I am doing my PPL now and in sept I am going to finish my national in travel and tourism ..I have distinctions for the first year and take geography A level to aswell as continue to fly. Next year then apply for cadetship in west atlantic airways...they pay for half of it and gives me a job with them with the training. Do you think that's my best choice..? It is certainly a plan but you need to be realistic all the way, there are very few cadetships available these days and the competition is fierce. I am a bit surprised that there are still any cadetships as there are more experienced pilots around than there are jobs for them including ex military aviators with substantial experience. Maybe yes or maybe no. It all depends on you and sheer dumb luck. It is a plan but l doubt very much if it will work to get a taken on as a cadet will very very hard Auto parts : Body Shim Acura 1995 . Body Trim Tool Alfa Romeo 1996 . Bolt Audi 1997 . I had some professionals attempt to install it but when they connected the amp to the car (power, ground, and remote wire) it just went into protection mode. They know the ground was good and wires were right but didn't know why it was going into protection mode. They even tried with one of their own amps and it did the same thing. Sterling . How to Customize a 2006 PT CruiserYou can buy a variety of auto graphics decals to customize your 2006 PT Cruiser. Some of the most common decals that people use to customize their Cruisers are flames or pinstriping. The decals give the car a classic automobile look. With several color variations and designs to choose from, you can customize your PT Cruiser with complimentary colors to make it eye catching and to fit your personal style. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Spray bottle with water and mild soap Squeegee Lint-free cloth Isopropy alcohol (rubbing alcohol) Blow dryerInstructions Step by Step : 1 Wipe the area where you want to apply a decal with a clean, lint-free cloth and alcohol. This will remove any oil or wax residue that could keep the decal from sticking firmly in place. 2 Spray the area with the soapy water mixture. Peel off the wax paper off the bottom of the decal and spray the adhesive side with soapy water. The soap water will allow you to slide the decal and you adjust it into place. 3 Lay the decal on the desired area of your Cruiser. Adjust the decal around gently by sliding it in place. Be careful not to rip it. 4 Use the squeegee to smooth out the air bubbles and excess liquid trapped under the decal. Start from the middle of the decal working your way out. Do this until all bubbles disappear. 5 Dry the decal with the blow dryer on the lowest setting until fully dry. Peel off the top layer of wax paper from the decal. Douse the decal with the soapy water one more time. Use the squeegee a final time to ensure there are no more bubbles left. Tips & Warnings Do not apply wax or wash your PT Cruiser for at least 24 hours after applying the decals to ensure full adhesion. Also avoid driving in harsh precipitation as well.
Sterling . How to Recondition Vinyl SeatsWithout proper care, vinyl seats can become hard, cracked and brittle. You can recondition the vinyl and give it new life with a simple cleaning and conditioning process. Once the vinyl is clean and conditioned, you can then repair any cracks in the surface of the vinyl. However, if you try to repair cracks before the vinyl is conditioned, the repair will go badly and may even increase the damage to the surface of the vinyl seat. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Vinyl cleaner or dish soap Soft cloths Ammonia Hydrogen peroxide Soft-bristle brush Old towels Vinyl treatment or protectant spray Step by Step : 1 Clean the surface of the vinyl seats with vinyl cleaner or with warm water and a few drops of dish soap. Work the cleaner into the surface of the vinyl with a soft cloth. Clean and dry the vinyl thoroughly until the cloths no longer come away dirty or gray. 2 Remove any mildew or mold growing on the vinyl with a mixture of 1 tbsp. ammonia, ¼ cup hydrogen peroxide and 3/4 cup water. Pour this mixture into any container you have on hand or use your sink. Work the ammonia mixture into the vinyl with a soft-bristle brush to remove the mildew from the vinyl. Rinse with water, then dry with old towels. Allow the seats to dry completely. 3 Spray vinyl treatment directly onto the vinyl. Work the treatment into the pores of the vinyl with a soft cloth. Allow the treatment to soak into the vinyl for about five minutes. Rub the treatment spray into the vinyl seats for several minutes. Allow the treatment spray to dry for one or two hours in the sun. Do not sit on or touch the vinyl until the surface of the vinyl is dry. 4 Apply a second coating of vinyl treatment if the vinyl is still dry and stiff. Continue to add more conditioning treatment until the vinyl is soft and supple once more. The vinyl treatment not only softens the vinyl but also protects the vinyl from sun damage, mildew and other stains. 5 Clean and condition the vinyl about once a month after the initial conditioning. This will prevent the vinyl from drying and cracking, deep stains and other problems that commonly affect vinyl items. *radio presets. That process also helps maintain memory for your on board computers for your engine and transmission. Take these precautions: Tie the cables back while you're working on the battery so that they don't flop back over onto the terminals. Always remove the negative cable if you plan to work on wiring under the hood. Do not allow anything made of metal to connect the terminal posts; this can damage the battery. And if the cables are connected to the posts at the time, you can destroy the onboard computers. 8. If you've been having trouble starting your car, if your headlights seem dim, or if the battery is old and has bars or caps that you can remove and look inside, buy a battery tester (see Figure 3-7) and use it to check whether the battery acid concentration is high enough. Figure 3-7: Battery tester. These testers cost only a few dollars. You simply draw some of the battery fluid (electrolyte) into the tester and look at the floating balls inside it. A scale on the tester tells you the condition of the battery fluid. If you get a very low reading, you can try having the battery refilled and recharged at a service station. If they tell you that your battery should be replaced, replace it. It's no fun to get caught with a dead battery, because you can't drive to the store to get a new one! Part I: Getting Started If you have a sealed battery and you own or can borrow a voltmeter, attach it across the battery terminals (red to positive and black to negative). With all accessories off and the battery at 70 degrees Fahrenheit, the voltage reading should be 12.6 volts or slightly lower at lower temperatures. Or just stop off at your local service station and have them test the battery. 9. Check the battery case and the terminals. If you see major cracks in the battery case or obvious terminal damage, 203

When replacing the battery, buy a new one with a reputable brand name at an auto parts store, battery service, or department store; don't risk getting stranded by a cheap battery that malfunctions. But don't overbuy, either; it's foolish to put an expensive battery with a five-year guarantee in a vehicle that you intend to get rid of in a year or two. Don't just dump your old battery into the trash, where it's a hazard to the environment. Because batteries are recyclable, you can trade in your old bat tery for a discount on the price of a new one and walk away content knowing that the old one will be back in service before long. Check the Radiator The radiator cools your engine and needs water and coolant (sometimes called antifreeze) to function. (Chapter 8 familiarizes you with the parts of the cooling system and how they work; Chapter 14 tells you how to flush your cooling system and do minor repairs on it; and Chapter 21 tells you what to do if your car overheats on the road.) Always use a 50/50 mixture of coolant and water to fill or top off the cooling system. Use plain water only in an emergency. Most modern engines have alu Sterling . For the purposes of brevity, I'll refer to that 50/50 mix simply as "liquid" or "coolant" from now on. Never add coolant to a hot engine! If you need to add more liquid, wait until the engine has cooled down to avoid the possibility of being burned or cracking your engine block. To check the level of the liquid in your cooling system and add more, if necessary, do the following: ' If your car has a coolant recovery system (a plastic bottle connected to the radiator that holds an extra supply of liquid, shown in Figure 8-2 in Chapter 8): There's no need to open the radiator cap. Just check to see whether the liquid reaches the "Full" line on the side of the bottle. If it doesn't, add a 50/50 mix of water and coolant to the bottle until it reaches the "Full" line. .Chapter 3: Preventive Maintenance: A Monthly Under-the-Hood Check AC Some coolant reservoirs are pressurized and have a radiator cap instead of a normal cap. Do not open these when the engine is hot, or hot coolant may be ejected. Sterling . How do you change front wheel bearing on 2004 mazda6?

Opening a radiator cap safety Never try to remove a radiator cap from a hot engine; the escaping steam can burn you. Wait for the engine to cool down. Test for a cool engine by grasping the large upper radiator hose. If the hose is hot to the touch and/or feels like it has a lot of pressure inside it, continue to wait until it's cool enough for you to open the cap safely. To open the cap (as shown in Figure 3-8), place a cloth over the cap and turn it counterclockwise to its first stop. This allows the pressure to escape. If you see liquid or a great deal of steam escaping, retighten the cap and wait for things to cool down. If not, continue to turn the cap counterclockwise to remove it. Tilt the cap away from you as you remove it so that whatever steam remains lands on the engine or under the hood, and not on you. Figure 3-8: Removing a radiator cap safely. Look down the hole in the top of the radiator; you should be able to see the liquid an inch or so below the place where the cap screwed on. Part I: Getting Started If the liquid is below the fins in the radiator, or you can't see it at all, the level is too low. 2. If the level is too low, pour a 50/50 mixture of water and coolant down the radiator hole until it covers the fins or reaches an inch or so below the cap.
